Host a meeting in one of Harrow School’s unique venues

From 450-year-old buildings to modern meeting rooms with state-of-the-art facilities, Harrow School has a range of unique venues suitable for any type of corporate event.

Venues at Harrow School, which can be booked to host a meeting include The Alex Fitch Room, West Street Meeting Room, Field House Club, Old Harrovian Room and Hill Meeting Room. Over the past three years, Harrow School has invested significantly in audio-visual provision across our meeting rooms and congregational spaces. We also have a large selection of classrooms available for hire. This blog post includes a short description of each venue to help you decide which space may be suitable for your next corporate event.

Alex Fitch Room
The Alex Fitch Room is one of the most majestic venues at Harrow School and can be hired for private events, meetings and corporate dinners. Located in the War Memorial Building, the entire contents of the room are older than the building itself. This beautiful room was donated by the Fitch family in memory of their son Alex, an Old Harrovian, who died in the First World War. The venue includes a large solid dining table placed in the centre of the room along with the grand wooden chairs.  All existing furniture in the Alex Fitch Room must stay and pop up screens/ AV can be installed for business meetings.

West Street Meeting Room
The West Street Meeting Room (main photo above) is a modern space seating 25, board room style. Located just a short distance from Harrow on the Hill train station means the venue is easily accessible via public transport. The West Street Meeting room is equipped with two LED screens – one 80 inch and one 45 inch – which allow presentations to be seen from anywhere in the room.

Field House Club
The Field House Club is a unique venue used for the School’s cricket fixtures. This venue is perfect for daytime meetings and intimate, corporate dinners/lunches. The walls and display cases are full of interesting items of Harrovian and cricketing memorabilia; a tangible display of the School’s distinguished cricketing past.  The Field House Club comes complete with all the furniture required for a meeting or dinner for up to 12 guests. If you wish to have larger numbers, a second table can be hired in to increase the capacity to 20. The Field House Club has a projection screen in-situ which is installed in the ceiling of the outer wall. It also has a dedicated projector, which can be deployed to the edge of the conference table in order to project onto the screen.

Old Harrovian Room
The Old Harrovian Room is located within Harrow School’s War Memorial Building. The venue is situated on the first floor, entered via a set of sweeping staircases. There are numerous rooms available in the building to ensure your event flows smoothly. The Old Harrovian Room offers guests a unique backdrop for a board meeting, standing reception or medium sized dinner. The walls of this room are surrounded by the portraits of Harrow School’s former Head Masters. The Old Harrovian Room and Speech Room have had their bespoke projection systems completely renovated. Each now has an automated, motorised projection screen which has been designed to be concealed when not in use, as well as a 4K projector and high-end sound system.

The Hill Meeting Room
The Hill Meeting Room is set up board room style. The tables are placed in a square with 14 seats surrounding them. Located in a quiet corner of the Hill and tucked away from the main street, this venue offers a beautiful courtyard overlooking the Hill. The Hill Meeting room is equipped with one 50 inch LED screen. Both The West Street Meeting Room and Hill Meeting Room now have full conferencing capabilities, both in terms of traditional conferencing telephones and conference camera systems, which allow for Hybrid Teams meetings between groups on-site and individuals joining remotely.

All spaces have their own laptop or computer, with guest logins available, as well as facilities to connect most personal devices to the AV systems.
