A LEVEL EASTER REVISION COURSES 2020

FEES AND DATES FOR A LEVEL

4 to 16 April 2020

A-Level courses include 6 hrs of tuition per full day. 9am to 5pm.

A-Level Courses – 3 days (18 hours of tuition) = £640 (equivalent of £35.55 per hour of tuition and a free lunch included) 

Course fees include all tuition, insurance cover, stationery, photocopying, past papers, end of course report & lunch.

BIOLOGY

04-06 (Saturday – Monday)

The aim of this course is to revise the core topics for the four main Biology specifications. As far as possible, the sessions will be tailored to the needs of the students. This revision course is designed for students who are preparing for A-Level examinations in Summer 2020 at the end of the two-year Biology course.

14-16 (Tuesday – Thursday)

The aim of this course is to revise the topics included in the different A-Level Chemistry specifications. As far as possible, the sessions will be tailored to the needs of the students. Tutors will make every effort to overcome individual difficulties, whilst still providing an overview of the main syllabuses. Although the courses by these exam boards might be structured differently, tutors will endeavour to alert students to content that is unique to one board.

ECONOMICS

Course Dates April 2020
14-16 (Tuesday – Thursday)

This course will provide students with opportunities to revise topics from both Year 1 and 2 of the A-Level Economics specifications. Tutors will make every effort to organise sessions to cover all the economic principles, concepts and theories that meet the needs of individual students. In addition, tutors will advise students on the different elements of the examinations and the organisation and structure of their extended written answers.

GOVERNMENT & POLITICS

Course Dates April 2020
07-09 (Tuesday – Thursday)

The aim of the course is to increase students’ knowledge and understanding of both UK and US Politics in preparation for their A-Level Politics examinations. In addition to building confidence and developing exam technique, the course focuses on the nature of contemporary UK and US politics, political structures/systems, as well as political ideas and comparative theories.

COMBINED MATHS

Course Dates April 2020
07-09 (Tuesday – Thursday) Year 2

These courses combine both Applied and Pure Maths from Year 1 and 2 of the A-Level specifications. The aim of the course is to build confidence and understanding of all mathematical ideas, enabling the students to interpret and solve the problems faced. It will help improve examination technique and to make the students aware of the common examination errors.

The aim of this course is to build confidence and understanding of mathematical ideas in order to enable students to interpret and solve mathematical problems. Every effort will be made to improve examination technique and make the students are aware of the content and emphasis of each specification.

04-06 (Saturday – Monday) – Full

The aim of this course is to revise the topics included in the main Physics specifications. As far as possible, the sessions will be tailored to the needs of the students so that some topics will be covered more extensively than others. It is likely that there will be a greater focus on the more challenging second year topics.
