Conference and event ideas

Stuck for ideas? Here are a few suggestions for various programmes of events at Harrow School.

The Christmas party

If you're tired of hotels and characterless conference suites and are looking for some Christmas spirit in an unusual setting, come to Harrow. Against the backdrop of historic and picturesque buildings, you can organise the Christmas party with a difference. The programme could include:
  • Drinks and carols in the festively decorated Shepherd Churchill Room, or the Shepherd Churchill Hall for larger numbers
  • Four course Christmas dinner while your guests are entertained by a string quartet or band playing Christmas favourites or music of your choice
  • Sketches and songs by your staff between dinner and the disco

Building your team

If your company is looking to overhaul team morale or re-build a management team Harrow offers an interesting range of options that are both effective and fun. Getting out of the office and into a completely different environment can help team members and managers focus objectively on the messages you want to communicate. A morning's team coaching in one of our venues followed by a challenging and fun session on the obstacle course in the afternoon provides a high value, varied programme all on the same site. And after all that hard work, give staff some time to relax in the swimming pool or on the golf course or work off any tension in the squash courts.

Thanking your customers

This summer thank your customers for their business with a family day out at Harrow School. A morning's tennis, football or rounders in the beautiful green setting of our playing fields provides fun for all the family, and shows your customers that you realise they are real people, not just numbers on an order book. Relaxed team activities like these also give your staff an opportunity to get to know your customers while having fun.

A delicious barbecue lunch can be provided either on the terrace of the Shepherd Churchill Room or down by the tennis courts, and in the afternoon why not organise a treasure hunt in the grounds? For those who are interested, we can lay on a tour of the School and our guide will provide a fascinating insight into the four hundred year old history of one of England's greatest schools.
