Liability and Insurance
Although the School has public liability insurance, any liability of the School in respect of which the School has insurance cover shall be limited to the amount of such cover. Any liability to the student or parent/guardian in respect of which the School does not have insurance cover shall be limited to the aggregate amount of revision course fees paid in respect of the student. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions, however, shall operate to exclude any liability of the School for personal injury or death caused by negligence of the School, its servants or agents.
For safety reasons, keys to the individual study bedrooms within the boarding houses are not provided. Students are advised not to bring unnecessary valuable possessions. Safekeeping facilities are limited and while students may hand in personal possessions at the start of the course, no responsibility will be taken for the loss or theft of any item left for safekeeping. We do provide locks for bedroom cupboards. There is a safe in each room and students will be taught how to use these.
It shall be a condition of the contract between the School and the student or his or her parent or guardian that the School shall not in any way be liable to the student or the parent or guardian in the event that any service contracted to be supplied by the School becomes impossible to supply due to reasons outside the control of the School.
Personal Possessions
Children are advised not to bring unnecessary valuable possessions. Safekeeping facilities are limited and while residential children will be asked to hand in their pocket money, valuable personal possessions (and, where relevant, tickets and passports) at the start of the course, no responsibility will be taken for the loss or theft of any item left for safe keeping. For safety reasons, children are not given a key to their rooms.
Please note that Harrow School cannot, under any circumstances, lend money to a child.
