Welcome to Harrow's Multi-Activity Courses

Multi-Activity Courses for boys and girls between 8 and 13 years old are run at Harrow School in July and August every summer. Children may attend as either 'residents' or 'non-residents'. For non-residential students, courses begin on Mondays and end on Fridays. Residential students arrive for their courses on a Saturday and leave on the following Saturday.

What parents say:
"Fun, friendly and she felt very at ease during the activities. She also enjoyed meeting new friends from all over the world."

Your children are cared for and entertained from 8.30am until 6.30pm. Choose a specific course tailored to your child’s particular talents or favourite hobby.

There are three different types of Multi-Activity course: ArtBlast, SportsCrazy, and StageStruck. All three courses include the many varied activities which children love but each one focuses on a particular area of interest to provide children with a specific set of new skills based on something they really enjoy, such as Art, Sport, or Drama & Music.

ArtBlast focuses on painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery and all kinds of handicrafts, for children who love making things.

SportsCrazy is a course for kids who love to play sport, all day, every day. They will receive expert tuition in each sport, meaning that they will achieve a new level of excellence as well as having lots of fun playing and learning.

StageStruck is designed for the budding star of stage and screen. Children who love to sing, dance, act and perform will adore this course, which culminates in a Show to be performed at the end of the week.

Your holiday childcare problems solved

At an average cost of around £4.30 an hour, our courses offer a fun and economical alternative in childcare during the summer holidays and course costs include lunch with supper as an optional extra. For residential courses, the children are cared for 24 hours a day and the costs include all food and staffing.

What parents say:
"We chose the Multi-Activity course to build up Kevin's confidence in himself and
occupy time over the summer holidays."

Our proximity to London, the M25 and other major motorways makes Harrow's Multi-Activity Courses an ideal childcare option for children whose parents work in and around London. For families living or working anywhere on the Metropolitan Line or near Chiltern Railways stations to Aylesbury, Harrow on the Hill station is only ten minutes walk from the School and offers easy access for families in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and north London.

We are also only 45 minutes from London's Heathrow Airport and can arrange airport transfers for children wishing to attend the residential courses from overseas.

The course is designed for both English and international children, although for safety reasons we do insist that all international children have a reasonable understanding of English.

What parents say:
"He enjoyed the variety of sports and activities - especially unusual sports like archery and fencing. He also loved the setting."

In addition to the Multi-Activity Courses, we offer the Outdoors Experience Course at Cape Adventure in Scotland. Two courses are run; a one week course for 13-17 year olds and a two week course for 14-17 year olds. These courses are available for English and international students (who have a reasonable level of English). Click here for more details.
